Audrey goes to see Kevin to ask if Ashley is sleeping with Casey and the look on his face says it all.
Audrey decides to confront Ashley, determined that he doesn’t ruin his life for a lusty fling. What will Ashley have to say?
Elsewhere, Steve feels smug that he’s won Michelle back, but Eileen and Michelle decide to have a last bout of fun before they’re done with the incriminating holiday snaps. What trick will they play on Steve?
And finally, David is happy when Mel agrees to go out on a date with him to the cinema. But when Jason and Bill suggest to Gail that she build an extension on the house for Jason and Sarah, David puts a spanner in the works.
How will Sarah react to her brother’s meddling?
19th August
David and Mel confirm their date for the cinema, but Sarah overhears her brother boasting to Amber about it.
Determined to get David back for ruining the extension plans, Sarah spitefully tells Mel about David's past relationships and that he is capable of acting like a stalker. Mel is mortified and stands David up.
When David gets home, Sarah makes it clear it was all down to her. How will David react?
Elsewhere, Audrey drops by the Websters’ before they go on holiday and they all express their concern that Casey seems to be getting her claws into Ashley. Before he leaves, Kevin pleads with Ashley not to give up on his marriage. But will Ashley appreciate his friend’s intervention?
And finally, Cilla has her first day working at the care home. When she finds out that one of the OAPs is very wealthy, she starts to flirt with him. Will he fall for her questionable charms?
20th August (7.30pm)
David is stung when Mel tells him she wants nothing more than friendship.
But when Amber asks him about being stood up, he lies and says he and Mel actually slept together. When the rumour gets back to Jerry, he storms over to see Gail – but will she believe her neighbour?
Over at the restaurant, Leanne confides in Paul how desperate she is to find someone to inject cash into the business. Paul assures her that she’ll find an investor soon. Could he find the money to help her out?
And at the factory, Liam is put out when a client suggests a business lunch at the Italian. Carla notices his reaction and questions him about his feelings for Leanne. Is he really over her?
20th August (8.30pm)
Forced to apologise to Mel, David is humiliated in front of half the street.
Later, he hears Gail and Sarah talking about the fact that he’s never had a girlfriend. Jason then sees David standing on the roof of Underworld and worries that he might be contemplating suicide.
Is David disturbed enough to kill himself?
Elsewhere, Paul feels snubbed when Leanne laughs at the suggestion he could be her investor. Paul argues that he could get a loan, and Leanne agrees that if he can raise the money, he’s in. But where will Paul get that much cash?
Finally, Cilla is still flirting with Frank when he offers her a job as his full-time carer and Eileen agrees to go on a date with Jerry.
22nd August
Thanks to Molly and Paul, Jack and Vera's golden wedding anniversary party at the Rovers is a great success.
However, in the middle of the celebrations, Paul slips out and is going through Jack’s money tin when the tipsy couple arrives home. Oblivious, Jack and Vera thank him profusely for making their anniversary so special. But what is Paul up to?
At the Platts’, Gail is furious with David for not collecting the result of his one GCSE. Following David’s speech on the roof, Jason is worried about what he’s capable of and implores Gail to calm down. How serious is David about wanting to kill his mum?
And finally, Jerry arrives flustered and late for his date with Eileen, but as the evening wears on, they both relax and enjoy themselves. Jerry’s delighted when Eileen reveals that she’s looking for someone to have a fun, uncomplicated time with and he agrees that he's always up for a laugh.
Could this be the start of a beautiful new relationship?
24th August
Paul continues to hunt through Jack’s tin and pockets the deeds to the house.
Later, Leanne is confused when she finds Paul showing his bank’s business manager around the restaurant and he’s being called Jack instead of Paul. Leanne realises that Paul has assumed his grandfather’s identity to borrow money against the house. Will Leanne accept the dodgy chef as her new business partner?
Elsewhere, Eileen is still high from her successful date with Jerry and goes further up in his estimations when she steps in to stop two lads from hassling Mel at the takeaway.
And finally, Casey tells Ashley she’s moving away for good and is disappointed when he doesn’t beg her to stay. Ashley still has feelings for Casey, but will he act on them?
